Tough road trip, old school teal weekend planned for fish at home

The Marlins are coming off at brutal west coast trip. Dropping three of four to the padres and two of three to the pesky diamondbacks. Leaving them with a 2-7 record on the trip. The fish hope to return to a more welcoming home stand in Florida and get back to winning baseball. 9 game home stand starts Friday 5/13: (MIL, MIL, MIL, WAS, WAS, WAS, ATL, ATL, ATL).

The 1997 marlins will be honored this weekend at marlins park. To celebrate their first world series title in franchise history. Which they won 25 years ago this year. Wow time flies. I remember my mom waking me up to see the last inning and the elation we shared when Craig Counsell crossed that plate.

I look forward to the teal throwback uniforms that I really hope they break out this weekend. Crazy idea if they played a game or a series back in Dolphins stadium for old times sake. Not many teams can go back to there old stadiums, because most stadiums get torn down shortly after the new one is built. I know it would probably never happen but it would be too cool.
