UPDATE — The Marlins recalled catcher Tomas Telis, relievers Brian Ellington and Nefi Ogando and selected the contract of outfielder Destin Hood, the club announced.
ORIGINAL — Miami could recall Tomas Telis, Brian Ellington and Nefi Ogando in the first series of roster moves Thursday, according to MLB.com’s Joe Frisaro.

Teams can carry up to 40 players on their rosters through the end of the season starting Sept. 1.
Telis, 25, was acquired in the Sam Dyson trade with the Rangers last summer. Over 17 games last season, Telis batted .148/.207/.148. He has appeared in two games with the Marlins this season.
Ellington, 26, had success during his stint in Miami’s bullpen, pitching to a 0.92 ERA and 3.96 FIP over 19.2 innings. He will give the Marlins depth, with A.J. Ramos pitching in the eighth and Fernando Rodney closing games.
Ogando, 27, has pitched to a 5.68 ERA and 2.99 FIP over 6.1 innings with the Marlins this season.
Miami concludes its four game series against the New York Mets on Thursday night at Citi Field.
