Baseball proved itself a game of inches once more Tuesday night as the Marlins lost 5-4 in 10 innings to the Blue Jays. Despite being trailing 4-1 entering the ninth inning, the Fish tied it up with a three-run shot from Francisco Cervelli to send it to extras.

Logan Forsythe then appeared to hit a ball down the left-field line for a home run, but the umpires conferred and overturned the original call and ruled the ball foul. Toronto, playing in Buffalo, would walk it off in the bottom half of the frame on a Travis Shaw single. Despite losing three-straight games, the Fish remained atop the NL East standings, as the Braves lost also. Playoff odds are still just 18.5 percent.
