Fish Bites Episode 68: Marlins HOF ballot breakdown

Discussing the 22 player candidates eligible to be voted into the inaugural Fish Stripes Marlins Hall of Fame class.

Ely is joined by Alex Contreras, Anthony “Red” Garcia, Alex Krutchik and Tyler Wilson to go through the entire 2020 Marlins Hall of Fame ballot. From dominant hitters like Miguel Cabrera and Gary Sheffield (3:00) and beloved aces José Fernández and Dontrelle Willis (21:20) to Marlins figures who made their impact off the field (39:30). The class of 2020 player inductees will be determined by averaging the voting percentages from the Fish Stripes staff vote and the fan vote. For most candidates, 70% support is the threshold; for “Miami era” players (those whose best Marlins performances came in 2012 or later), 85% support is the threshold.
