As our own Hector Rodriguez reported on Thursday, Alcantara is set to resume baseball activities at the club’s alternate training site after consecutive negative COVID-19 tests.
BREAKING: #Marlins All-Star RHP Sandy Alcantara has officially tested negative twice and is back home with his family. Alcantara is expected to head to the Marlins Alternate Site in Jupiter sometime this week according to sources.

In the meantime, the Marlins pitching staff is in disarray. Mike Morin is expected to join Richard Bleier on the injured list. Pablo López will take the mound Friday night. Beyond him, young right-hander Humberto Mejía is a strong candidate to start one of this weekend’s games.
