Finally! Baseball has returned. Granted, it was still just a meaningless exhibition, but it was baseball nonetheless. And exciting baseball at that.

The Fish got out to a 6-0 in Atlanta on Tuesday night, but the bullpen couldn’t make it hold up, surrendering eight runs in the eighth, and then a walk-off blast in the bottom of the ninth to fall 10-9.

On the bright side, the offense exploded for nine runs, including back-to-back-to-back homers to lead off the third.

They also got three scoreless innings from Jose Ureña — who didn’t quite hit Ronald Acuña this time — and one from likely closer Brandon Kintzler, who pitched the fifth. We’ve got your full recap here.

  • There’s a new episode of the Line Drive show out on the team’s YouTube channel. This week, Michael Hill discusses they’ll use the DH, as well as the many roster moves and considerations that went into them, including those regarding Monte Harrison and the fifth starter.
  • Despite his exclusion from the initial 30-man active roster, Mr. Harrison says he knows he’s ready for the big leagues.
