Danny analyzes the upcoming September roster expansion and how the Marlins could and should use it (3:20). Jesús Sánchez, Monte Harrison and Jorge Guzman are among the sexiest call-up candidates, though none of them are believed to be likely selections. Manager Don Mattingly announced that second-year right-hander Pablo López is making his return from a shoulder strain on Monday night (16:25). As you’re watching him in the rotation down the stretch, watch closely for three things: comfort, control and complete.

All-Star Sandy Alcantara is the obvious Pitcher of the Week for Miami (36:01). Harold Ramirez, Starlin Castro and others contributed to a much-needed offensive explosion over the weekend (40:27).

Aside from López, major leaguers Miguel Rojas, José Ureña, Chad Wallach, JT Riddle and César Puello are all in the midst of rehab assignments.
