Spring training results:
The Marlins improved to 13-8 by pounding on Max Scherzer and the Washington Nationals yesterday to the tune of nine runs on ten hits, conversely limiting the Nats to one run. Derek Dietrich provided four RBI in the effort, including a three run jack off of Scherzer in the 4th.
Awesome spring training continues for Derek Dietrich with another HR. Five total homers for the Marlins today as they cruise to a 9-1 win over the Nats.

Garrett Cooper, Brian Anderson, Eric Jagielo and Andy Van Slyke would all add home runs of their own. On the pitching front, Trevor Richards started the game and went a solid four, giving up a lonely run on four hits, two walks and three punch outs. Jumbo Diaz, Brad Ziegler, Junichi Tazawa, Tayron Guerrero and Drew Steckenrider all pitched one inning apiece without giving up any runs.
The Marlins and Nationals will get under way here shortly, Odrisamer Despaigne on the mound for the Fish, Stephen Strasburg for the Nats.
Might need to score a lot of runs because there are some funky names scheduled to pitch in relief of Despaigne. #Marlins lineup at the Nats today:
