Spring training results

The Marlins defeated the Mets yesterday by a score of 5-1, to improve their spring training record to 11-6. Dan Straily went five strong innings, giving up no runs on four hits, one walk and three strikeouts. Brad Ziegler and Kyle Barraclough followed with clean solo innings, and Adam Conley finished the game out, going two innings, giving up one earned run on a hit, a couple walks and a strikeout.

Derek Dietrich and Starlin Castro continued their respective strong springs, each garnering a couple hits with Deets plating a couple to boot.

Magneuris Sierra would end up leaving yesterday’s game with some hamstring tightness.

The Marlins will face the Mets again today in a little under an hour, Dillon Peters will square off against Matt Harvey.
