Marlins RHP Sixto Sánchez headlines new “Prospects to Pros” merch collection

Products featuring Miami’s dynamic young pitcher are available in men’s, women’s and children’s sizes.

BreakingT and Baseball America have launched Prospects to Pros, a collection of young stars and rookies entering the 2021 MLB season who are poised to lead the game for years to come. The headliner is, of course, Marlins right-hander Sixto Sánchez.

The 22-year-old Dominican lived up to the hype in 2020, posting a 3.46 ERA and 3.50 FIP in his seven regular season starts for the Fish. Sánchez also started two more times in the postseason, including tossing five scoreless innings against the Cubs in the clinching game of the NL Wild Card Series. He enters the new season as a likely member of Miami’s Opening Day rotation.

Sánchez wore uniform No. 73 last year, but his reverence for Hall of Famer Pedro Martínez has been well-documented. For 2021, the Marlins granted him permission to switch to Martínez’s iconic No. 45. This new merch reflects that change.
