Fish Bites Episode 36: Veteran investment, new manager needed for 2020

Danny Martinez has faith in the Marlins’ homegrown talent, but also explains what the franchise must do to bring in complementary players and maximize their potential.

The advanced stats paint a mixed yet slightly encouraging picture of Isan Díaz as a major leaguer (32:30). Expect better results in September than we saw in August.

Newly recalled Robert Dugger seized Pitcher of the Week honors in his Marlins Park debut (41:00). Meanwhile, Starlin Castro, Jorge Alfaro and Harold Ramirez all had offensive impact (44:50), though most of that production went for naught during a 1-6 week.
