The Marlins earned some praise from Ely Sussman at Wednesday’s MLB non-tender deadline, agreeing to contracts with Jesús Aguilar and Garrett Cooper (4:50) and cutting their losses with disappointing reliever Ryne Stanek (20:00). Elsewhere around the league, outfielder Eddie Rosario, right-hander Archie Bradley and left-hander Carlos Rodón are among the prominent names who’ve just entered the free agent market (25:10) and potentially fit with the Fish.
