Welcome to Wednesday’s Marlins (57-81, -38 RD) vs. Mets (70-69, -8 RD) game thread. Congrats to CEO Derek Jeter on officially being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame earlier today.

During every Marlins game, join in on the Fish Picks prop bets fun. They give you something to focus on even with the team out of World Series contention. Please use this link!

Picks are only valid if submitted to us prior to first pitch.

The Fish Picks leaderboard is updated daily. Nobody picked a Perfect Game on Tuesday.

At the end of each month, the Fish Picks winner—whoever has the percentage of correct picks (among qualifiers)—will receive a hand-painted Trevor Rogers baseball card.

Everybody’s point totals have been reset for the start of September.

Sandy Alcantara - 2021 Frequency of Pitches by Pitch Speed Baseball Savant

Notes: Jesús Aguilar (left knee) was placed on the 10-day injured list to make room for Lewin...This will be Alcantara’s first start since turning 26 on Tuesday...Isan Díaz is hitless over the last two-plus weeks (0-for-29)...The most well-rested pitchers available out of the Marlins bullpen are Anthony Bass, Anthony Bender, Richard Bleier, Dylan Floro and Steven Okert.
