Welcome to Saturday’s Marlins (56-79, -33 RD) vs. Phillies (69-65, -14 RD) game thread. Entering the day, the Marlins are percentage points ahead of the Nationals for fourth place in the NL East standings.

During every Marlins game, join in on the Fish Picks prop bets fun. They give you something to focus on even with the team out of World Series contention. Please use this link!

Picks are only valid if submitted to us prior to first pitch.

The Fish Picks leaderboard is updated daily. Nobody picked a Perfect Game on Friday.

At the end of each month, the Fish Picks winner—whoever has the percentage of correct picks (among qualifiers)—will receive a hand-painted Trevor Rogers baseball card.

Everybody’s point totals have been reset for the start of September.

Phillies Starting Lineup

  1. CF Odúbel Herrera
  2. 2B Jean Segura
  3. RF Bryce Harper
  4. C J.T. Realmuto
  5. LF Andrew McCutchen
  6. 1B Matt Vierling
  7. SS Didi Gregorius
  8. 3B Ronald Torreyes
  9. RHP Ranger Suárez (2021 season stats: 1.48 ERA, 3.19 FIP, 24.2 K%, 30.8 HardHit% in 67.0 IP)
Ranger Suárez - 2021 Frequency of Pitches by Pitch Speed Baseball Savant

Notes: Suárez has faced the Marlins more than any other MLB team (18.0 IP in 11 G), but all of that history came as a reliever...Realmuto started at first base on Friday for only the third time this season. Following Rhys Hoskins’ season-ending surgery, that’s expected to be a more regular occurrence on days when the All-Star isn’t behind the plate...This Phillies offense is among the league’s worst against fastballs (ranks 25th at -24.3 runs above average). Trevor Rogers frequently uses that pitch in putaway situations.

Marlins Starting Lineup

  1. SS Miguel Rojas
  2. 2B Jazz Chisholm Jr.
  3. 1B Jesús Aguilar
  4. CF Lewis Brinson
  5. RF Jesús Sánchez
  6. LF Jorge Alfaro
  7. C Alex Jackson
  8. 3B Isan Díaz
  9. LHP Trevor Rogers (2021 season stats: 2.45 ERA, 2.60 FIP, 28.7 K%, 37.7 HardHit% in 110.0 IP)
Trevor Rogers - 2021 Frequency of Pitches by Pitch Speed Baseball Savant

Notes: Kept off the mound by back spasms and a family emergency, Rogers will be making only his third start since the All-Star break...Brian Anderson re-aggravated the left shoulder subluxation that sidelined him for most of June and July. There’s obvious concern that this injury could end his season...The most well-rested pitchers available in the Marlins bullpen are Anthony Bass, Anthony Bender, Richard Bleier, Paul Campbell, Dylan Floro and Sean Guenther.
