Jesús Luzardo - 2021 Frequency of Pitches by Pitch Speed Baseball Savant

Notes: The Marlins own a meager 3-16 record in interleague play...This will be Luzardo’s first time facing an American League opponent and dealing with a designated hitter since being traded to the Fish, though he had plenty of experience with that while in Oakland...Sánchez has started 29 straight games, the longest streak for any Marlins player at any point this season...Every Marlins reliever should be available with the possible exception of Sean Guenther (46 pitches on Friday).

Rays Starting Lineup

  1. RF Manuel Margot
  2. SS Wander Franco
  3. DH Nelson Cruz
  4. LF Randy Arozarena
  5. 3B Yandy Díaz
  6. 1B Jordan Luplow
  7. 2B Joey Wendle
  8. C Francisco Mejía
  9. CF Brett Phillips

RHP Shane Baz

Notes: Having just clinched the American League East division and all but assured the best record in the AL, the Rays frankly don’t have much urgency to win today...Baz won his major league debut on Monday, throwing 78.5% of his pitches for strikes...Dating back to late July, Wander Franco has reached base safely in 40 consecutive games...Old friend Adam Conley is here! The Rays seldom use him in important situations, but he’s been great against left-handed batters (albeit in a tiny sample).
