Notes: Think of Gray as Washington’s version of Jesús Luzardo, an extremely highly regarded prospect who’s being given a long leash to “figure it out” at the major league level despite awful results...Since the trade deadline passed, the Nats bullpen is dead last among MLB teams in FanGraphs Wins Above Replacement (-1.1 fWAR), though they got the job done on Tuesday.

Marlins Starting Lineup

  1. SS Miguel Rojas
  2. 2B Jazz Chisholm Jr.
  3. CF Bryan De La Cruz
  4. RF Jesús Sánchez
  5. LF Lewis Brinson
  6. 1B Lewin Díaz

  8. 3B Eddy Alvarez
  9. RHP Elieser Hernandez (2021 season stats: 3.80 ERA, 5.08 FIP, 21.7 K%, 36.4 HardHit% in 42.2 IP)

Notes: The Marlins have not had the same catcher start consecutive games since September 13-14...The most well-rested pitchers available out of the Marlins bullpen are Anthony Bender, Richard Bleier, Paul Campbell, Dylan Floro, Steven Okert, Zach Pop and Zach Thompson.
