Notes: Edward Cabrera will pitch the night game...Bryan De La Cruz is making a bid to become only the second player in Marlins history to maintain a .500 batting average on balls in play for an entire month while starting regularly.

Mets Starting Lineup

  1. CF Brandon Nimmo

Notes: During August home games, the Mets have a 5-1 record against the depleted Nationals and an 0-7 record against all other opponents...Both of these teams have had issues with offensive consistency, scoring two runs or fewer in 47 games, tied for the third-highest total in the majors...Watch out for old friend Villar. He’s slashing .311/.403/.503 at Citi Field this year, and overall, he’s 11-for-his-last-22 at the plate (.500 BA).
