Nationals Starting Lineup
- CF Lane Thomas
- SS Alcides Escobar
- RF Juan Soto
- 1B Josh Bell
- LF Yadiel Hernández
- 3B Carter Kieboom
- 2B Luis García

- RHP Josiah Gray (2021 season stats: 3.90 ERA, 6.71 FIP, 28.0 K%, 32.9 HardHit% in 30.0 IP)

Notes: With very little protection for him in the lineup, Soto has drawn an astounding 27 walks in 21 games played since the trade deadline...The former top prospect Kieboom has been taking advantage of everyday reps at third base, slashing .273/.356/.455 during that same span...After allowing 11 home runs through his first 30 big league innings, Gray must be feeling grateful for the opportunity to pitch at LoanDepot Park.
Marlins Starting Lineup
- 2B Jazz Chisholm Jr.
- 1B Jesús Aguilar
- RF Jesús Sánchez
- LF Lewis Brinson
- 3B Brian Anderson
- 2B Isan Díaz
- C Jorge Alfaro
- CF Bryan De La Cruz
- RHP Edward Cabrera (2021 MiLB season stats: 2.93 ERA, 3.24 FIP, 36.9 K% in 61.1 IP)
Notes: We are awaiting the corresponding roster move that will allow the Marlins to officially activate Cabrera...Over the last two weeks, Alex Jackson is striking out at a 59.0% rate (23 K in 39 PA). He is particularly vulnerable against pitches waist-high or above...The most well-rested relievers available in the Marlins bullpen are Anthony Bass, Anthony Bender, Richard Bleier, Paul Campbell, Dylan Floro and Steven Okert.
