Everybody’s point totals have been reset for the start of August.

Marlins Starting Lineup

  1. SS Miguel Rojas
  2. 2B Jazz Chisholm Jr.
  3. 1B Jesús Aguilar
  4. RF Jesús Sánchez
  5. 3B Brian Anderson
  6. CF Lewis Brinson
  7. LF Jorge Alfaro
  8. C Alex Jackson
  9. RHP Elieser Hernandez (2021 season stats: 2.84 ERA, 4.68 FIP, 26.5 K%, 32.4 HardHit% in 12.2 IP)
Elieser Hernandez - 2021 Frequency of Pitches by Pitch Speed Baseball Savant

Notes: This will be Hernandez’s fourth start of the 2021 season and—knock on wood—hopefully his second that isn’t abbreviated due to in-game injury...Bryan De La Cruz has not batted higher than the No. 6 spot in any of his Marlins appearances despite maintaining a .319 batting average as a big leaguer. That streak shall continue...The most well-rested pitchers available in the Marlins bullpen are Anthony Bass, Anthony Bender, Richard Bleier, Paul Campbell, Dylan Floro, Sean Guenther, Steven Okert and newly selected Austin Pruitt.

Reds Starting Lineup

  1. 2B Jonathan India
  2. CF Tyler Naquin
  3. RF Nick Castellanos
  4. 1B Joey Votto
  5. SS Kyle Farmer
  6. 3B Mike Moustakas
  7. LF Aristides Aquino
  8. C Tucker Barnhart
  9. RHP Sonny Gray (2021 season stats: 4.47 ERA, 3.79 FIP, 28.5 K%, 32.6 HardHit% in 90.2 IP)
Sonny Gray - 2021 Frequency of Pitches by Pitch Speed Baseball Savant

Notes: India has emerged as the NL Rookie of the Year frontrunner, hitting for more and more power as the season progresses. Also, his .393 on-base percentage is seventh-best among all MLB qualifiers...The Reds defense has allowed only one runner to reach base on an error over their last 25 games.
