  4. RF Lewis Brinson
  5. 3B Brian Anderson
  6. LF Jorge Alfaro

Braxton Garrett - 2021 Frequency of Pitches by Pitch Speed Baseball Savant

Notes: For the first time since being traded to Miami, Bryan De La Cruz is not in the starting lineup (he started the previous 11 games)...The most well-rested pitchers available out of the Marlins bullpen are Anthony Bass, Anthony Bender, Richard Bleier, Paul Campbell, Dylan Floro and Zach Pop.

Padres Starting Lineup

  1. LF Tommy Pham
  2. 2B Adam Frazier
  3. 3B Manny Machado
  4. SS Jake Cronenworth
  5. C Austin Nola
  6. 1B Eric Hosmer
  7. RF Wil Myers
  8. CF Trent Grisham
  9. RHP Craig Stammen (2021 season stats: 2.71 ERA, 3.60 FIP, 24.8 K%, 36.9 HardHit% in 63.0 IP)
Craig Stammen - 2021 Frequency of Pitches by Pitch Speed Baseball Savant

Notes: Machado owns a scorching-hot .361/.382/.675 slash line since the All-Star break. He’s only one off of Aguilar’s pace for the National League lead in runs batted in...Stammen isn’t stretched out enough to go beyond a couple innings. The Padres will be leaning on a handful of arms to patch this together.
