Notes: The inconsistent Braves offense has been limited to four runs or fewer in 16 of their last 19 games. However, they erupted for 14 runs in Pittsburgh on Wednesday and have the advantage of entering this series on the heels of an off day...The journeyman Almonte is the ultra-rare type of player in today’s MLB who has more walks (23) than strikeouts (22) this season. His on-base percentage (.398) is even higher than Acuña’s!
Marlins Lineup
- 2B Jazz Chisholm Jr.
- CF Starling Marte
- 1B Jesús Aguilar
- RF Adam Duvall
- SS Miguel Rojas
- LF Jesús Sánchez
- C Jorge Alfaro
- 3B Joe Panik
- RHP Anthony Bass
Notes: Zach Thompson has been scratched with a non-COVID related illness. Anthony Bass will open things up instead, becoming the 14th different Marlins starter of the season...Nick Neidert bailed out the rest of the Marlins bullpen on Thursday with four innings of mop-up work. They’ll probably want to stay away from David Hess (three appearances in the last four days), but every other reliever is available including newly selected Shawn Morimando.
