  • Monday’s MiLB scores: FCL Marlins won, 12-4; DSL Marlins won, 8-5.
  • Griffin Conine tells Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald about his gameday routine, the room he has to improve, his father’s most important advice and more. Conine, Minor League Baseball’s home run leader, will be making his Double-A debut this week. Listen to their conversation on a new episode of Fish Bytes.
  • Zach McCambley received that same promotion earlier in the month and struggled mightily in his first Blue Wahoos start before settling in, as he explains to FanGraphs.
  • FanGraphs has kicked off its annual Trade Value series. Sandy Alcantara and Jazz Chisholm Jr. received honorable mentions while Trevor Rogers (No. 41) and Pablo López (No. 49) both cracked the Top 50. “López might hold the title of the most under-appreciated pitcher in the game,” his blurb reads. I agree!
  • In Monday’s blowout loss, Miguel Rojas passed Gary Sheffield to move into 17th place on the all-time Marlins career hits list. Rojas will almost certainly pass Adeiny Hechavarría for 16th place this week and could move up even further before the trade deadline—leapfrogging Preston Wilson at 549—if he stays hot.
  • Right-hander Andrew Bellatti took the mound for mop-up duty in what was his first major league appearance since October 2, 2015. It...did not go so well (1.1 IP, 5 H, 5 ER, 0 BB, 2 K).
  • The Fish Stripes MLB Draft signings tracker is staying updated with details about player signing bonuses.
  • If you missed Monday’s action-packed Fish Stripes Live show—eight analysts!—you can rewatch it here.

  • Adopt A Minor Leaguer has started a “Burritos for Beloit” fundraiser to distribute Chipotle gift cards to all members of the Marlins’ Beloit affiliate and their opponent at an upcoming game. Please help them reach their $1,200 goal!
  • MLBbro.com appreciates Monte Harrison’s temporarily game-saving diving catch from Saturday’s game.
  • Bally Sports Florida’s Jeremy Taché will be hosting his own South Florida sports podcast! Taché already produces/co-hosts the popular Swings and Mishes pod with Craig Mish.
