Notes: Atlanta’s signing of Smyly raised some eyebrows, as they guaranteed him $11 million based off only a handful of appearances during the 2020 season. It’s been a disaster. The veteran southpaw’s strikeout rate has been cut in half and he has allowed the third-most home runs of any pitcher in baseball. Today is his 32nd birthday, by the way...Dansby Swanson is riding the bench, unsurprising considering the matchup numbers below.
