Welcome to Friday’s Marlins (14-16, +20 RD) vs. Brewers (17-15, -6 RD) game thread.
Picks are only valid if submitted to us prior to first pitch.
The Fish Picks leaderboard will be updated daily. Congrats to @chrislogel, @danielrobbyshor and @KaraGodsey, each of whom picked a Perfect Game on Thursday.
At the end of each month, the Fish Picks points leader—whoever has the most total correct picks—will receive a t-shirt of their choice from our partners at Legends of Dade!
- 2B Kolten Wong
- CF Lorenzo Cain
- LF Tyrone Taylor
- RF Avisaíl García
- SS Luis Urías
- 1B Billy McKinney
- 3B Pablo Reyes
- C Jacob Nottingham
- LHP Brent Suter (2021 season stats: 2.70 ERA, 3.58 FIP, 22.4 K%, 33.3 HardHit% in 16.2 IP)
Notes: You thought the Marlins’ catching situation was ugly? Due to injuries, the Brewers are temporarily reliant on the tandem of Jacob Nottingham and Luke Maile behind the plate (Manny Pina could be reinstated soon though). Old friend Christian Yelich is still searching for answers for his back problems and won’t be involved in this series...The funky lefty Suter hasn’t been stretched beyond three innings in any appearance this season. Get ready for many “different looks” from the Brewers bullpen as they attempt to patch this game together.
- SS Miguel Rojas
- 1B Jesús Aguilar
- RF Garrett Cooper
- LF Adam Duvall
- 2B Isan Díaz
- 3B Jon Berti
- C Sandy León
- CF Magneuris Sierra
- LHP Trevor Rogers (2021 season stats: 1.91 ERA, 2.59 FIP, 33.9 K%, 47.1 HardHit% in 33.0 IP)
Notes: Brian Anderson gets at least a partial day off as he eases back from his oblique injury and Miami continues to hide Corey Dickerson against left-handed pitching (highly questionable choice when it means inserting the struggling Cooper in his place)...With a hit tonight, Miguel Rojas can pass former teammate Dee Strange-Gordon for 19th place on the all-time Marlins hits list...The well-rested pitchers available out of the Marlins bullpen (haven’t pitched in at least two days) are Richard Bleier, Adam Cimber, Ross Detwiler and Zach Pop.
