It has generated whiffs at least 50% of the time in each of his last five appearances, a threshold he rarely reached earlier in the season.

Notes: Didi Gregorius is in the midst of possibly his worst all-around season. He’s been unable to cover the ground that’s usually expected of a shortstop, according to Statcast. Prior to the game, the Phillies put him on the 10-day IL with a right elbow impingement...Old friend J.T. Realmuto (wrist) has started only two games in the past week, but could still prove to be a factor in this series...Wheeler for the most part has enjoyed incredible success in his career against Miami.
