Welcome to Sunday’s Marlins (17-22, +4 RD) vs. Dodgers (22-17, +50 RD) game thread.
Picks are only valid if submitted to us prior to first pitch.
The Fish Picks leaderboard will be updated daily. Congrats to CSalvat, @dee_marlins and Kev_3O5, each of whom picked a Perfect Game on Saturday.
At the end of each month, the Fish Picks points leader—whoever has the most total correct picks—will receive a t-shirt of their choice from our partners at Legends of Dade!
- SS Jazz Chisholm Jr.
- 1B Garrett Cooper
- LF Corey Dickerson
- RF Adam Duvall
- 2B Isan Díaz
- 3B Brian Anderson
- CF Magneuris Sierra
- C Chad Wallach
- RHP Pablo López (2021 season stats: 3.07 ERA, 3.51 FIP, 23.8 K%, 30.6 HardHit% in 44.0 IP)
Notes: Jazz is back from his hamstring injury, playing for the first time since April 27...Sundays and Pablo López starts have been an awful combination for the Marlins offense. The club is winless in Sunday games this season with a total of five runs scored. López hasn’t earned any wins yet despite making every scheduled start and performing at a borderline All-Star-caliber level...The well-rested pitchers available out of the Marlins bullpen (haven’t pitched in at least two days) are Anthony Bass, Anthony Bender, Richard Bleier, John Curtiss, Dylan Floro, Yimi García and Zach Pop.
- CF Mookie Betts
- 1B Max Muncy
- 3B Justin Turner
- LF Matt Beaty
- 2B Chris Taylor
- SS Gavin Lux
- RF Luke Raley
- C Austin Barnes
- RHP Jimmy Nelson (2021 season stats: 3.00 ERA, 2.19 FIP, 34.9 K%, 35.5 HardHit% in 15.0 IP)
Notes: Nelson was a staple of the Brewers rotation in the mid-2010s. After years of injury setbacks, he has settled into a middle relief role with the Dodgers. This will be his first start since June 20, 2019. He’s expected to go once through the Marlins order before passing the baton to the next guy...Saturday’s hit by pitch proved to be a worst-case scenario for Corey Seager. He suffered a broken hand and will miss an extended period of time...Acquired from the Rays on Saturday, Yoshi Tsutsugo hopes to recapture the power stroke that made him an elite slugger in Japan.
