Welcome to Wednesday’s Marlins (4-6, 0 RD) vs. Braves (4-7, -5 RD) game thread.

Fish Picks has indeed returned for a third season! Whether you enter picks here on fishstripes.com or at the @fishstripes Twitter account, it’s always free to participate and the prizes are real.

Fans can find the props within game threads like this one or as the pinned tweet on our Twitter account. They will be posted at least four hours prior to the game’s scheduled first pitch (assuming both the Marlins and their opponent declare a probable starting pitcher by then). Generally, there will be five props per game, four about individual/team stats and the final one always being the moneyline pick (which team will win). Picks are only valid if commented or tweeted to us prior to first pitch.

Your goal every day is to “pick a perfect game” and choose the correct outcome for each prop. Whoever has the most perfect games each month receives a t-shirt of their choice from our partners at Legends of Dade!

The Fish Picks leaderboard will be updated daily.

Marlins Lineup

  1. LF Corey Dickerson
  2. CF Starling Marte
  3. 1B Jesús Aguilar
  4. RF Adam Duvall
  5. 3B Brian Anderson
  6. 2B Jazz Chisholm Jr.
  7. SS Miguel Rojas
  8. C Jorge Alfaro
  9. RHP Nick Neidert (2021 season stats: 2.08 ERA, 5.22 FIP, 15.0 K%, 33.3 HardHit% in 4.1 IP)

Notes: It’s a homecoming for Neidert who was born and raised in the Atlanta area. He pitched once at Truist Park last season, but only in a low-leverage relief situation...Credit for Craig Mish for noting that Adam Duvall leads the National League with 20 home runs since the beginning of the 2020 season. Marcell Ozuna (19) and Ronald Acuña Jr. (18) are right behind him, though.

Braves Lineup

  1. RF Ronald Acuña Jr.
  2. 1B Freddie Freeman
  3. LF Marcell Ozuna
  4. C Travis d’Arnaud
  5. 2B Ozzie Albies
  6. SS Dansby Swanson
  7. 3B Austin Riley
  8. CF Ender Inciarte
  9. RHP Charlie Morton (2021 season stats: 3.27 ERA, 2.05 FIP, 26.7 K%, 27.6 HardHit% in 11.0 IP)
Baseball Savant

Notes: Cristian Pache (left groin strain) and Max Fried (right hamstring strain) have both landed on the 10-day injured list, replaced on the Braves active roster by Guillermo Heredia and Tucker Davidson.
