  • Jayson Stark of The Athletic reports that the Marlins are one of three MLB teams mentioned most often around the baseball industry as capable of taking a leap forward next season, with one rival executive saying: “If you’re in the game every night because you’re running out one top-of-the-rotation arm after another, that to me makes them the one National League team to keep an eye on.”
  • Stark will be placing Trevor Rogers second on his National League Rookie of the Year ballot (behind Jonathan India), but it’s nice to see the likes of Joe Sheehan and Jeremy Frank (@MLBRandomStats) deeming him award-worthy.
  • For the next three weeks, some of the Marlins best position player prospects will participate in a development camp at LoanDepot Park. The group includes organizational award winners Cappe, Conine, Lewis and Mesa, plus most of the hitters that Miami selected in last summer’s MLB Draft. Isaac Azout (@IsaacAzout) will report live from the camp today beginning at 11:30 a.m.
  • Alex Contreras relived the 2003 Marlins World Series run with The BASES Stories Podcast.
