Evan Fitterer started and went 4.0 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 5 K on 74 pitches, then was followed in relief by Jefry Yan (1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K on 16 pitches) and Justin Evans (1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K in 13 pitches). It was a mostly quiet day at the plate for catcher Will Banfield, left fielder JJ Bleday and designated hitter Kameron Misner (combined 0-for-9 with 2 BB, 8 K).
- Isaac Azout has clips and commentary from the Marlins Fall Development Camp, including a home run from 18-year-old star prospect José Salas.
- Sending best wishes to former Marlin David Hess. He’ll begin chemotherapy on Monday to treat a cancerous tumor in his chest. The right-hander is hopeful about resuming his baseball career once his treatment is complete.
