Welcome to Sunday’s Marlins (17-17) vs. Rays (27-13) game thread. The Citrus Series always promises to be a fun time (except for last weekend—that sweep was brutal to watch).

Fish Picks is BACK and better than ever! Our free-to-play daily prop bets contest is open to all fans. Courtesy of a new Fish Stripes partnership with Fantom Drip, weekly points leaders will win their choice of a Marlins face covering (five different varieties available) or the exclusive Fish Stripes design. The 2020 full-season points leader gets their pick of two new Marlins-themed t-shirts.

The Fish Picks leaderboard will update daily to let you know where you stand.

Marlins Lineup

  1. LF Corey Dickerson
  2. CF Starling Marte
  3. DH Jesús Aguilar
  4. RF Matt Joyce
  5. 3B Brian Anderson
  6. 1B Lewin Díaz
  7. SS Jazz Chisholm
  8. 2B Eddy Alvarez
  9. C Chad Wallach

P Trevor Rogers (2.00 ERA, 3.03 FIP, 27.5 K%, 22.7 Hard Hit% in 9.0 IP)

Baseball Savant

Notes: Alvarez was recalled to fill Harold Ramirez’s roster spot. The latter has been placed on the 10-day IL following a scary hamstring injury...Díaz, Chisholm, Alvarez and Wallach have combined for zero home runs and 25 strikeouts in their 86 plate appearances this season...The Marlins would obviously like some length from Rogers in his third career start, but there isn’t as much pressure as usual—key relievers Brandon Kintzler, Brad Boxberger, Yimi García and Ryne Stanek have thrown only two total pitches in this series.

Rays Lineup

  1. CF Manuel Margot
  2. LF Randy Arozarena
  3. DH Austin Meadows
  4. 3B Mike Brosseau
  5. SS Willy Adames
  6. 2B Joey Wendle
  7. RF Hunter Renfroe
  8. C Kevan Smith
  9. 1B Nate Lowe

P Tyler Glasnow (4.24 ERA, 3.03 FIP, 39.6 K%, 37.5 Hard Hit% in 34.0 IP)

Baseball Savant

Notes: That Glasnow strikeout rate is reminiscent of peak Gerrit Cole/Chris Sale! The overpowering right-hander was teammates with Dickerson, Joyce and Marte while they were on the Pittsburgh Pirates. He has only pitched against the Marlins once in his career, getting rocked for seven runs (six earned) and 10 hits back in 2017.

How to watch/listen/follow

The first pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. ET. Watch on FOX Sports Florida and via MLB.TV or listen on 940 WINZ. All Marlins team broadcasters will remain in South Florida, calling the game remotely.
