Welcome to Saturday’s Marlins (30-28) vs. Yankees (32-26) game thread. The Fish have clinched their spot in the 16-team postseason field!

Fish Picks is BACK and better than ever! Our free-to-play daily prop bets contest is open to all fans. The 2020 full-season points leader will be decided this week. Whoever finishes on top gets their pick of three new Marlins-themed t-shirts.

The Fish Picks leaderboard will update daily to let you know where you stand.

Marlins Lineup

  1. LF Magneuris Sierra
  2. 3B Jon Berti
  3. 1B Garrett Cooper
  4. DH Matt Joyce
  5. RF Lewis Brinson
  6. C Jorge Alfaro
  7. 2B Jazz Chisholm
  8. CF Monte Harrison
  9. SS Miguel Rojas

P Trevor Rogers (6.84 ERA, 4.66 FIP, 29.4 K%, 38.6 Hard Hit% in 25.0 IP)

Baseball Savant

Notes: A hangover lineup following the clinch, as expected. All of the “old” position players are getting a rest outside of Joyce, who didn’t play on Friday...Rogers was a Yankees fan growing fan and nearly got drafted by them in 2017 (the Marlins were three picks ahead of them in the first round). Even though there isn’t much at stake for the team today, this should be a thrilling opportunity for the rookie left-hander to “come full circle” and reassure decision-makers that he can be trusted to contribute in the postseason.

Yankees Lineup

  1. 2B DJ LeMahieu
  2. RF Aaron Judge
  3. DH Giancarlo Stanton
  4. 1B Luke Voit
  5. 3B Gio Urshela
  6. CF Aaron Hicks
  7. LF Clint Frazier
  8. C Gary Sánchez
  9. SS Tyler Wade

P Deivi García (4.88 ERA, 4.77 FIP, 22.2 K%, 41.2 Hard Hit% in 27.2 IP)

Baseball Savant

Notes: Same lineup as the series opener except with Wade taking the place of Gleyber Torres...Stanton is slashing .194/.286/.387 with one home run in eight games since returning from a hamstring injury.
