Welcome to Sunday’s Marlins (14-14) vs. Rays (23-11) game thread. We are in the midst of Impact Week for the Marlins organization and only the second true “homestand” for the Fish this season. Having lost three straight with a difficult September schedule looming, this series finale has the feel of a must-win game.
Fish Picks is BACK and better than ever! Our free-to-play daily prop bets contest is open to all fans. Courtesy of a new Fish Stripes partnership with Fantom Drip, weekly points leaders will win their choice of a Marlins face covering (five different varieties available) or the exclusive Fish Stripes design.
And the overall 2020 season points leader will receive an Air Rojas t-shirt!
The Fish Picks leaderboard will update daily to let you know where you stand.

Notes: Left-handers Ryan Yarbrough and Josh Fleming have both neutralized the Marlins lineup so far this series. Interestingly, Snell—the former AL Cy Young award winner—has been prone to hard contact so far in 2020, though his ability to miss bats is unquestionably elite.

Notes: Alcantara starts for the Fish for the first time in 37 days. We’re still awaiting news about the corresponding move that will create space for him on the 40-man roster...Marlins fans should hope to see Yimi García in tonight’s game as that would likely mean that the team has a late-inning lead. Juan Páez has more about García’s potential impact down the stretch.
