Welcome to Sunday’s Marlins (9-5) vs. Braves (12-10) game thread.
Fish Picks is BACK and better than ever! Our free-to-play daily prop bets contest is open to all fans. Courtesy of a new Fish Stripes partnership with Fantom Drip, weekly points leaders will win their choice of a Marlins face covering (five different varieties available) or the exclusive Fish Stripes design. The Week 2 competition is going down to the wire.
The Fish Picks leaderboard will update daily to let you know where you stand.
Braves Lineup
- SS Dansby Swanson
- 1B Freddie Freeman
- DH Marcell Ozuna
- RF Nick Markakis
- LF Adam Duvall
- 2B Johan Camargo
- C Tyler Flowers
- 3B Austin Riley
- CF Ender Inciarte
P Robbie Erlin (9.00 ERA, 7.64 FIP, 31.0 K%, 44.4 Hard Hit% in 6.0 IP)
Notes: Erlin began this season with the Pirates, but was designated for assignment two weeks ago, a pretty strong indictment of his ability considering that they’re arguably the worst team in baseball. The veteran left-hander threw 43 pitches in his previous outing on Monday. Even if he’s effective, Atlanta’s bullpen is likely to handle the majority of today’s workload.
Marlins Lineup
- SS Jonathan Villar
- DH Jesús Aguilar
- 3B Brian Anderson
- 1B Lewin Díaz
- LF Lewis Brinson
- RF Jon Berti
- 2B Logan Forsythe
- C Ryan Lavarnway
- CF Monte Harrison
P Elieser Hernandez (2.79 ERA, 3.65 FIP, 25.6 K%, 32.0 Hard Hit% in 9.2 IP)

Notes: In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Negro Leagues, the Marlins are wearing throwback “Miami Giants” uniforms, recognizing the semipro team that played in the 1930s. Join the virtual South Florida black history celebration at marlins.com/events beginning at noon ET...Entering Saturday’s contest as a pinch-hitter, Lewin Díaz became the 800th player from the Dominican Republic to play in the major leagues. Now, he becomes the only player in team history to start in the cleanup spot within his first two career games.
Dorsey Park, home of the Miami Giants. Located in Historic Overtown in #Miami, this park received several beautiful murals celebrating the legacy of the #NegroLeagues. Several groups including the Miami #Marlins helped in the art project. #JuntosMiamihttps://t.co/yREX9RtIp1 pic.twitter.com/dhDdxJTpZn
