After skipping a week, I have returned with a real doozy. Every year since 1995, the Miami chapter of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America (BBWAA) has voted annually on the Charlie Hough Good Guy Award. It’s named in honor of Hough, who always maintained a cordial relationship with media members. Fittingly, he was the first-ever recipient of the award in ‘95 (even though he had retired the year before). Can you guess the rest?
As a hint, the quiz specifies whether each winner was a pitcher, position player or non-player (coach, front office, etc.). Another hint for you: there has only been one person to be awarded multiple times. So over the course of 25 seasons, the BBWAA has honored 24 different Marlins.
Not expecting to see any perfect scores—be proud if you get more than half of them!
