To help fill the void created by the delayed 2020 regular season, I dusted off the Fish Stripes Sporcle account! Each Saturday, I’ll share an original Marlins quiz with all of you.
What does it mean to be “valuable” to your baseball team? With the rise in quantifiable data around Major League Baseball, that term isn’t as subjective as it used to be, yet still it’s at the heart of many great debates.
Only once has a Marlins player won the National League Most Valuable Player award. Every year, however, the Miami chapter of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America (BBWAA) votes on its own team awards, including MVP. The recipients are traditionally presented with their hardware during the final homestand of the regular season.
Through the franchise’s 27 seasons, 18 different players have received Marlins MVP honors. Can you name them all?
The quiz is embedded below. If it doesn’t load for you, click here to play.
