Another quiet weekend for the Marlins. Here’s what I got...
- All you need is an Instagram account and basic reading comprehension skills to enter holiday giveaways being hosted by Miguel Rojas and Víctor Mesa Jr.
- Updated stats for Marlins prospects in the Dominican Winter League: Lewin Díaz is 15-for-69, .217/.308/.319 with 2 HR and 13 K; Jesús Sánchez is 10-for-36, .278/.297/.472 with 1 HR and 10 K; Joe Dunand is 23-for-72, .319/.398/.542 with 3 HR and 25 K. Those are Dunand’s final regular season stats, as he’s nursing a hip flexor and possible quad strain.
- Rojas was joined on a boat by teammates Lewis Brinson, Monte Harrison, Jazz Chisholm and Eddy Alvarez to reflect on their season together (and dance).
- Juan Páez takes a closer look at Chisholm’s first taste of the big leagues.
- The Marlins are not scheduled to appear on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball during the first half of 2021. They haven’t been on that international, primetime platform since their ownership change.
- Imagining Brian Anderson in Miami Dolphins aqua and orange:

- Enjoy a thread of the “most extreme” Marlins home runs of 2020, including hardest exit velocity and slowest home run trot.
- Baseball Prospectus has updated their Marlins top 10 prospects list for 2021. The biggest surprises: shortstop Nasim Nuñez checking in at No. 8 and Lewin dropping down into the honorable mentions.
- We are now 65 chapters into the All-Time Marlins Countdown.
- Congrats to Marlins minor league slugger Lázaro Alonso! Soon to be the father of a baby girl.
- The Fish Army’s Jacob Carrion voiced this video lamenting the disappointing 2012 Marlins season and Jeffrey Loria’s rash decision to pull the plug on that core later that same year.
