As usual, we’re monitoring all things Marlins-related entering the new week:

  • From 3-6 p.m. today, the 12th annual Home Plate Meals Thanksgiving Distribution will be held in the Humana Lot at Marlins Park, providing 1,000 meal boxes to local families. It’s one of the few traditions that the Marlins have preserved from the Jeffrey Loria regime. Right-hander Sandy Alcantara, CEO Derek Jeter and former Marlins players Álex González and Gaby Sanchez are among those participating.
  • Shortstop Miguel Rojas was doing good out in the community last weekend.

  • 40-for-40: every player on the current Marlins roster has an official Instagram account. Our updated IG list also includes nearly 100 more organizational players plus some notable alumni.
  • Midwestern reporter Tommy Birch guesses that the Wichita Wind Surge could wind up as the new Double-A affiliate of the Twins. Minor League Baseball’s realignment plans are slowly coming together, with full details potentially announced within the next week.
  • Baseball America is tracking every team’s 2021 affiliates (subscription required).
  • Jupiter Hammerheads general manager Jamie Toole reacts to seeing several of his former players in the MLB postseason and explains his preparation for the unique season ahead.
  • The Marlins introduced a three-game Holiday Bundle ticket package that includes 2021 Opening Day. See below for the seating sections that you have to choose from.
