As mentioned earlier, I’m not comfortable with goodbyes. However, many others who spent the 2020 season in and around the Marlins found the appropriate words and images to share following Thursday’s loss to the Braves.
The overarching theme of their social media posts: feeling proud of what the team accomplished.
What a wild season. We hope you’re as proud of this squad as we are. This remains a plan in motion. Keep the excitement.

What an incredible run this team had! I’m so proud of these guys to battle and grind through everything that was thrown at us and make the playoffs for the first time in 17yrs. Honored to say a was a part of this organization’s turnaround. @Marlins pic.twitter.com/Ow9k1KAfWE

In an unprecedented TV-only season, the entire @FOXSportsFL crew did an amazing job of telling the story, channeling the joy and riding the wave. Thank you @Marlins for being great partners and representing #Miami to the fullest. https://t.co/FFWIdR59LI

I’m so proud of the team & thankful they made sacrifices so we could have a season.
And I say this with certainty, this organization shouldn’t be a laughing stock anymore. They’re for real & it’s just beginning.
It’s always tough to see a season come to an end but I can not put into words how much fun it was to watch what the @marlins accomplished this year. To be a part of this season was so special and the best part is, this is just the beginning of something magical. #Marlins pic.twitter.com/TnZnQ43rfS

You know that range of emotions you’ve felt over the last weeks, days & hours - that’s a good thing. That’s fandom. That’s what we want to have more people in South Florida experience (with more highs than lows!) Keep it going and get ready for 2021. #JuntosMiami https://t.co/jbHHRaBLZj

Not at all the way we wanted to end our postseason run, but I am so, so proud to be part of the @Marlins organization. The 2020 MLB season is one that I will definitely never forget. Looking forward to building on this plan in motion in 2021 and beyond... #JuntosMiami pic.twitter.com/1tNUtMM3oA
