New Additions
The Marlins made a couple of free-agent signings over the last few days. First, they strengthened the back end of their bullpen Saturday with the signing of Brandon Kintzler, a righty who spent most of the past two seasons with the Cubs.

But the Fish weren’t done. The very next day, Sunday, the team bolstered its outfield by adding Lakeland native Matt Joyce, most recently of the Braves.
2020 Previews
We continue to roll out player previews for the 2020 season. Isan Díaz was our latest subject.
Isan Díaz had the lowest line drive rate on the Marlins in 2019 (min. 100 PA). Just get that launch angle calibrated correctly and he'll be a menace in the middle of the lineup. https://t.co/Pz6pD21vAE

Isan wasn’t the only Díaz previewed this past week. Prospect Lewin Díaz, who came over in the Sergio Romo deal with the Twins last season, also got his turn.
We’ve also got a full team preview right here, but we will leave it to you to fill in the blanks after the Joyce and Kintzler signings.
And, after reading all that 2020 has in store for you as a Marlins fan, you can also relive many of the team’s 2019 highlights with our YouTube playlist, which includes all of Jorge Alfaro 2019 home runs, as well as those of Brian Anderson, Garrett Cooper, and Harold Ramirez, to name a few.
Prospect buzz
Jazz Chisholm may have fallen on some prospect rankings, but we say there is still plenty to dream on with the the toolsy shortstop.
Regarding said rankings, here’s where Chisholm and other top Marlins prospects rank on some of the most reputable lists out there:

We wouldn’t want to leave you without mentioning the latest Fish Bites pod, wherein Kintzler and the prospect lists are discussed.
And maybe this is burying the lede, but the next installment of Fish Stripes Night is Feb. 27! Discounted tickets to see the team (and meet us!) at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter. Be there!
