Brewers Lineup

  1. LF Trent Grisham
  2. C Yasmani Grandal
  3. RF Christian Yelich
  4. 1B Eric Thames
  5. CF Lorenzo Cain
  6. 2B Cory Spangenberg
  7. 3B Travis Shaw
  8. SS Hernán Pérez
  9. SP Jordan Lyles (4.46 ERA, 4.72 FIP, 24.1 K%, 40.1 Hard Hit% in 121.0 IP)

Notes: The chorus of analysts projecting some regression from Yelich coming off his 2018 NL MVP campaign have been proven wrong—he’s actually gotten better. Slashing .330/.429/.674 and making a serious run at becoming the first 50 HR/30 SB player in MLB history, the former Fish outfielder is established as the best offensive player in the National League...Lyles spent the bulk of this season with the Pirates and posted a 5.36 earned run average, but that has been trimmed to a 2.56 ERA in seven starts since being traded. Exactly half his 124 strikeouts in 2019 have come via the curveball.

Baseball Savant

Marlins Lineup

  1. SS Miguel Rojas
  2. 1B Neil Walker
  3. RF Garrett Cooper
  4. 3B Starlin Castro
  5. C Jorge Alfaro
  6. 2B Isan Díaz
  7. LF Harold Ramirez
  8. CF Jon Berti
  9. SP Robert Dugger (4.00 ERA, 5.88 FIP, 15.2 K%, 42.9 Hard Hit% in 18.0 IP)

Notes: Dugger’s previous outing at Marlins Park was a seven-inning, seven-strikeout gem against the Reds. Only a bullpen blow-up prevented him from earning the win...The Marlins are 3-2 this year when Berti starts in center field. He looked pretty comfortable out there on Tuesday night!

Filling in for Danny Martinez on Fish Bites this week, I went in depth on Sandy Alcantara on the latest podcast episode and featured our 2019 Marlins All-Minor League team selections.
