Marlins Lineup

  1. CF Magneuris Sierra
  2. SS Miguel Rojas
  3. 1B Neil Walker
  4. 3B Starlin Castro
  5. C Jorge Alfaro
  6. 2B Isan Díaz
  7. RF Harold Ramirez
  8. LF Austin Dean
  9. SP Sandy Alcantara (3.93 ERA, 4.51 FIP, 18.1 K%, 33.6 Hard Hit% in 178.2 IP)

Notes: A couple cool milestones coming up for Alcantara today. His next strikeout will set a new Marlins franchise record for most Ks by a Dominican pitcher. Working at least 3 23 innings sets a franchise record in that category, too. Jesús Sánchez—not to be confused with the active outfield prospect—currently holds both marks...Later tonight, Marlins prospects kick off the 2019 Arizona Fall League. They’re assigned to the Salt River Rafters roster. The newest Fish Stripes podcast episode touches on four of the participants and includes expert analysis of the Low-A Clinton season.

In case you missed it, nominees for the 2019 Fishys have been announced! Listen and vote for the most deserving Marlins players.

Diamondbacks Lineup

  1. RF Abraham Almonte
  2. LF Josh Rojas
  3. 2B Eduardo Escobar
  4. 1B Christian Walker
  5. 3B Jake Lamb
  6. SS Domingo Leyba
  7. C Alex Avila
  8. CF Jarrod Dyson
  9. SP Mike Leake (4.39 ERA, 5.15 FIP, 15.3 K%, 43.4 Hard Hit% in 184.1 IP)

Notes: Running the table over their final 10 games and reaching 87 wins is seemingly the D-backs’ only chance to sneak into the postseason. This underwhelming lineup suggests that they have essentially conceded...For the eighth consecutive season, Leake has surpassed 175 innings pitched, no small feat in this era of precautionary injured list stints and oversized bullpens. The quality of those innings isn’t what you’re looking for, though. Traded midseason from Seattle to Arizona, the veteran right-hander leads the majors in both hits allowed (214) and home runs allowed (38).
