Notes: “The Marlins have improved their system more than any other organization has over the course of 2019,” says MLB Pipeline in boosting the Fish to No. 4 in their updated farm system rankings. FanGraphs also put the franchise fourth in their own version of the rankings released last week...Coming off another blown lead by the Marlins bullpen, you’ll be “relieved” to know that reinforcements are on the way. Austin Brice (forearm strain) makes his second rehab appearance with High-A Jupiter tonight. Brice posted a 1.88 ERA and 3.73 FIP in 38.1 IP prior to this injury. José Ureña (herniated disc) threw a bullpen session earlier today. His projected September return could shift Elieser Hernandez or Jordan Yamamoto to the ‘pen...Major League Baseball will have its third annual Players’ Weekend from August 23-25. The Marlins host the Phillies in these all-white unis. Thoughts?

It’s the first time in his career that the flame-throwing right-hander has put together consecutive walk-less starts.
