"Is this an emotional day for you?"— Fish Stripes (@fishstripes) August 5, 2019
"Very, very emotional—OH OHHHHHHHHH OHHHHH OHHHHHHHHHH " https://t.co/qjOvE9aTkb
As expected, Rojas, Granderson and Holaday get into the action after being excluded from the game one lineup. A bit unexpected, however, to see Granderson batting cleanup, a spot he’s never been in for the Marlins this season...Garrett Cooper is quietly in a deep slump—his last extra-base hit was July 26.
- LF Jeff McNeil
- SS Amed Rosario
- RF Michael Conforto
- 1B Pete Alonso
- C Wilson Ramos
- 2B Luis Guillorme
- 3B Adeiny Hechavarria
- CF Aaron Altherr
- P Walker Lockett
Notes: Thanks to their afternoon victory, the Mets are at the .500 mark for the first time since May 28. Not dead in the NL Wild Card race quite yet.
