Marlins Lineup

  1. SS Jon Berti
  2. 2B Isan Díaz
  3. RF Brian Anderson
  4. 1B Garrett Cooper
  5. 3B Starlin Castro
  6. LF Harold Ramirez
  7. C Jorge Alfaro
  8. CF Lewis Brinson
  9. P Elieser Hernandez (5.40 ERA, 6.22 FIP, 23.8 K%, 31.8 Hard Hit% in 53.1 IP)

Notes: Big baseball-related news off the field with the arrests of Luis Castillo and Octavio Dotel in the Dominican Republic in connection with a wide-ranging money laundering and drug investigation. Castillo is the Marlins’ all-time leader in career games, hits, stolen bases and various other categories...Within the hour-plus long conversation on our new Earning Their Stripes episode, the guys point to Isan’s track record as evidence that he will eventually adjust despite these initial MLB struggles. Slashing .188/.245/.271 through 13 games with no home runs since his debut, the highly touted rookie also committed a pair of errors on Sunday that likely cost the Marlins a win...For their homestand beginning on Friday, the team announced a new initiative called Impact Week. “The seven days of community impact aims to make a difference in South Florida’s youth by creating opportunities to foster an active lifestyle, achieve academic success, and build leadership skills,” the statement reads.

Braves Lineup

  1. CF Ronald Acuña Jr.
  2. 2B Ozzie Albies
  3. 1B Freddie Freeman
  4. 3B Josh Donaldson
  5. C Brian McCann
  6. RF Matt Joyce
  7. SS Adeiny Hechavarría
  8. LF Rafael Ortega
  9. P Dallas Keuchel (4.39 ERA, 4.97 FIP, 18.9 K%, 38.6 Hard Hit% in 65.2 IP)

Notes: The Braves are 12-2 when hosting the Fish at SunTrust Park (which opened in 2018)...Keuchel had one of his worst major league outings Aug. 8 at Marlins Park (3.2 IP, 10 H, 8 ER, 3 HR), but he typically gives the Braves a fighting chance. The veteran lefty has completed at least five innings in all of his other starts this season.
