If you thought the Marlins already had enough outfielders in their minor league system, meet Jesus Sánchez. He joins the Fish along with hard-throwing right-hander Ryne Stanek in a deadline trade that sends Nick Anderson and Trevor Richards to the Rays.
New #Marlins prospect OF Jesus Sanchez checked in at #53 overall entering 2019 on our Top 125 at @2080ball. Was recently promoted to Triple-A before today's trade.

FNTSY Sports Radio host Craig Mish was first to report the full package.
Stanek will presumably join the Marlins bullpen in the near future. However, he’s currently on the injured list with right hip soreness. Stanek has posted a career 3.55 ERA and 29.2 K% in 142 major league innings (all as a member of the Rays).
The 21-year-old Sánchez likely will report to Triple-A New Orleans.
Combined with Sixto Sánchez, JJ Bleday, Edward Cabrera and Isan Díaz, the Marlins have five prospects ranked in Baseball America’s MLB Top 100 list (subscription required).
Earlier in the day, Zac Gallen was sent to the Diamondbacks for shortstop Jazz Chisholm. That trade has already been announced by the team, whereas this hasn’t been yet.
Plenty more updates to come...
