Padres Lineup

  1. SS Fernando Tatís Jr.
  2. 1B Eric Hosmer
  3. 3B Manny Machado
  4. LF Hunter Renfroe
  5. RF Franmil Reyes
  6. 2B Ian Kinsler
  7. CF Manuel Margot
  8. C Austin Hedges
  9. P Dinelson Lamet (6.30 ERA, 5.82 FIP, 32.6 K%, 37.5 Hard Hit% in 10.0 IP)

Notes: Chris Paddack brought his A game last night, and yet the Marlins came so close to storming back for the win...The hard-throwing Lamet had an intriguing rookie campaign for the Padres, but Tommy John surgery halted his progression. This will be just his third start in the majors this season, marking the final meeting between these clubs in 2019.

Marlins Lineup

  1. SS Miguel Rojas
  2. 3B Neil Walker
  3. 1B Garrett Cooper
  4. RF Brian Anderson
  5. 2B Starlin Castro
  6. C Jorge Alfaro
  7. LF Harold Ramírez
  8. CF César Puello
  9. P Caleb Smith (3.46 ERA, 4.34 FIP, 30.5 K%, 37.4 Hard Hit% in 78.0 IP)

Notes: Sidelined for the past 27 games by a right hamstring strain, veteran Martín Prado has officially returned. JT Riddle (right forearm strain) goes to the injured list in a corresponding move...A July hot streak is not only salvaging Starlin Castro’s trade value—it ranks as one of the best offensive months of his career! Castro has at least one hit in each of the 11 Marlins games, slashing .426/.438/.681 with seven runs batted in (including five against the Padres)...With at least six strikeouts today, Smith can join Wei-Yin Chen, Adam Conley and Mark Buehrle as the only Marlins left-handers over the past decade to reach 100 in a single season.

How to watch/listen/follow

The game gets underway at 12:10 p.m. ET. Watch on FOX Sports Florida and via MLB.TV or listen on 940 WINZ.
