Welcome to Saturday’s Marlins (23-38) vs. Braves (34-29) game thread.

Throughout the 2019 season, Fish Stripes is your home for daily Fish Picks prop bets. The monthly points leader for June, July, etc. wins Fish Stripes merchandise prizes. The best seller in our store: Caleb “KKKKKKKaleb” Smith shirts!

The Fish Picks leaderboard will update daily to let you know where you stand.

Braves Lineup

  1. CF Ronald Acuña Jr.
  2. SS Dansby Swanson
  3. 1B Freddie Freeman
  4. 3B Josh Donaldson
  5. RF Nick Markakis
  6. LF Austin Riley
  7. 2B Ozzie Albies
  8. C Tyler Flowers
  9. P Julio Teheran (3.28 ERA, 4.35 FIP, 22.7 K%, 37.4 Hard Hit% in 71.1 IP)

Notes: The Braves never looked back on Friday night after Freeman’s home run in the top of the first inning. It was his 27th long ball against the Marlins, which ranks second among all active players behind only Ryan Zimmerman...The Braves rotation has underperformed this season, prompting them to out-bid the rest of the league for veteran lefty Dallas Keuchel in recent days. Even once Keuchel is fully ready for regular season action, Mike Soroka’s spot is safe, and so is Teheran’s. Now in his seventh full MLB campaign, the Colombian right-hander has been striking out opponents at a higher rate than ever.

Marlins Lineup

  1. LF Curtis Granderson
  2. RF Garrett Cooper
  3. 3B Brian Anderson
  4. 2B Starlin Castro
  5. 1B Martín Prado
  6. CF JT Riddle
  7. C Jorge Alfaro
  8. SS Miguel Rojas
  9. P Trevor Richards (3.53 ERA, 4.70 FIP, 22.7 K%, 35.2 Hard Hit% in 66.1 IP)

Notes: Harold Ramírez is quietly in an 0-for-16 slump, dragging down his .900-plus OPS to .759 (much closer to what was projected of him initially after the call-up). He’s out of the Marlins lineup for the first time since May 19 to recharge his batteries a bit...More significant Marlins players and prospects are being affected by injuries right now than at any other point this season. I did a roundup of the latest developments for you here.
