  3. 3B Anthony Rendon
  4. LF Juan Soto
  5. 1B Matt Adams
  6. CF Víctor Robles
  7. 2B Brian Dozier
  8. C Yan Gomes
  9. P Patrick Corbin (3.90 ERA, 3.91 FIP, 26.6 K%, 41.7 Hard Hit% in 92.1 IP)

Notes: Corbin is the only pitcher to toss a complete-game shutout against the Marlins in 2019. He followed up that May 25 masterpiece with three poor outings in a row before snapping back into form in his most recent start.

Baseball Savant

Marlins Lineup

  1. SS Miguel Rojas
  2. LF Harold Ramírez
  3. 1B Garrett Cooper
  4. RF Brian Anderson
  5. 2B Starlin Castro
  6. CF César Puello
  7. C Bryan Holaday
  8. 3B Yadiel Rivera
  9. P Zac Gallen (Triple-A stats: 1.77 ERA, 3.25 FIP, 33.6 K% in 91.1 IP)

Notes: Happy birthday, Derek Jeter! The Marlins CEO turns 45 today...Second baseman Isan Díaz has been selected for the Triple-A All-Star Game. Díaz is enjoying a career year, slashing .289/.379/.540 (124 wRC+) and leading the Marlins organization with 16 home runs this season.

For those who enjoy messing around with small sample sizes, Holaday has a 143 wRC+ for the Fish this season. That is second among all National League catchers—Willson Contreras, 146 wRC+—when setting the minimum at 30 plate appearances...Although Trevor Richards was roughed up by the Nats on Tuesday, he became the 16th straight Marlins starting pitcher to complete at least five innings. It’s the longest streak for the franchise since the 2015 season. Not too much pressure on Gallen thanks to Adam Conley’s three lights-out innings in relief of Richards. That kept the bullpen fresh heading into this contest.
