Marlins Lineup

  1. SS Miguel Rojas
  2. RF Harold Ramírez
  3. 1B Garrett Cooper
  4. 3B Brian Anderson
  5. 2B Starlin Castro
  6. C Jorge Alfaro
  7. LF Austin Dean
  8. CF JT Riddle
  9. P Jordan Yamamoto (0.00 ERA, 2.60 FIP, 20.8 K%, 52.9 Hard Hit% in 7.0 IP)

Notes: The burning question is what happens next for Yamamoto. His first MLB call-up has been the product of a 40-man roster spot and logistics; in reality, the organization would like to see him get reps at Triple-A New Orleans. Is there anything he can do on the mound tonight to validate his terrific debut and extend his stay with the Marlins?...Don Mattingly will be managing his 555th game for the Fish. That ties Fredi González for the franchise record. Mattingly owns a 244-310 overall record (.440 winning percentage) which you’d expect to get slightly worse between now and season’s end...assuming he survives the entire season.

Cardinals Lineup

  1. 3B Matt Carpenter
  2. SS Paul DeJong
  3. 1B Paul Goldschmidt
  4. LF Marcell Ozuna
  5. RF Dexter Fowler
  6. C Yadier Molina
  7. 2B Kolten Wong
  8. CF Harrison Bader
  9. P Jack Flaherty (4.28 ERA, 4.37 FIP, 26.3 K%, 35.5 Hard Hit% in 73.2 IP)

Notes: These teams play seven total games against one another in 2019, which means the Cardinals can clinch the season series right here...Overall, Flaherty has taken a small step back from his 2018 rookie campaign. Unfortunately for the Marlins, the right-hander is much more successful at home—each of his three scoreless starts this season have been at Busch Stadium.
