Notes: The burning question is what happens next for Yamamoto. His first MLB call-up has been the product of a 40-man roster spot and logistics; in reality, the organization would like to see him get reps at Triple-A New Orleans. Is there anything he can do on the mound tonight to validate his terrific debut and extend his stay with the Marlins?...Don Mattingly will be managing his 555th game for the Fish. That ties Fredi González for the franchise record. Mattingly owns a 244-310 overall record (.440 winning percentage) which you’d expect to get slightly worse between now and season’s end...assuming he survives the entire season.
