Thanks for joining us for Tuesday’s Marlins (10-29) vs. Rays (24-15) game thread.

Throughout the 2019 season, Fish Stripes is your home for daily Fish Picks prop bets. The monthly points leader for May, June, etc. wins Fish Stripes merchandise prizes. For example, new KKKKKKKaleb shirts!

The Fish Picks leaderboard will update daily to let you know where you stand.

Rays Lineup

  1. 3B Yandy Diaz
  2. LF Tommy Pham
  3. 2B Daniel Robertson
  4. RF Avisaíl García
  5. C Travis d’Arnaud
  6. CF Kevin Kiermaier
  7. SS Willy Adames
  8. 1B Ji-Man Choi
  9. P Charlie Morton (2.64 ERA, 2.86 FIP, 30.4 K%, 30.1 Hard Hit% in 44.1 IP)

Notes: Morton had one start apiece at Marlins Park in 2013, 2014 and 2015, but you can throw those numbers out the window given all the changes to both the pitcher and the Fish since then. The veteran right-hander loves his curveball, throwing it 34.7% of the time.

Marlins Lineup

  1. CF Jon Berti
  2. 3B Brian Anderson
  3. 1B Neil Walker
  4. 2B Starlin Castro
  5. RF Garrett Cooper
  6. C Jorge Alfaro
  7. LF Harold Ramírez
  8. SS Miguel Rojas
  9. P Caleb Smith (2.11 ERA, 2.85 FIP, 34.8 K%, 25.8 Hard Hit% in 42.2 IP)

Notes: The combination of Morton and d’Arnaud—who’s coming off Tommy John surgery—should be fairly easily to run against. As always, the question is whether the Marlins can even get on base...Mentioned in this morning’s article, Rojas has been a total non-factor at the plate in recent weeks. This drop to the No. 8 spot was overdue.
